  1 2 3 Final
New Hampshire 2 1 1 4
Northeastern 0 1 0 1

Well, it wasn't a very exciting game from a Northeastern standpoint. There was a lot that was left to be desired, such as shooting the puck and scoring. An aggressive attack on the Wildcats' net would have been helpful, but it just wasn't there. Northeastern showed up at the Whittemore Center from the neck down, but as in too many road games this year they weren't there from the neck up. New Hampshire out shot the Huskies 32-25 and won in convincing style, thus extending their hold on second place in Hockey East.

New Hampshire started the scoring at 6:13 when Johnny Rogers (Jeff Haydar, Sean Austin) took a shot from the left wing and beat Mike Gilhooly on a strong shot. UNH's second goal, and the eventual game winner came at 14:57 as David Busch (Garrett Stafford) beat Gilhooly on a breakaway goal.

In the second period Northeastern scored their lone goal at 10:59 as Chris Lynch (Scott Selig, Trevor Reschny) took the team lead in scoring with his 11th goal of the season. But the Wildcats responded at 16:57 when Mark White (Corey-Joe Ficek, Joshua Prudden) took a screen shot off a face-off that beat Gilhooly.

Sean Austin (Johnny Rogers, Eric Lind) extended the UNH lead at 10:08 with another blast from the point for the final tally of the game.

While the dogs took more shots on net than they have in recent games, they never had many good scoring chances. The Wildcats were much more confident with the puck and seemed determined to attack the Northeastern net throughout the game.

Let's Go Huskies!
